Associate Dentist

Job summary

Haverhill Dental Practice are looking to welcome a new associate dentist into our busy practice, to play a full and active role within our multi-disciplinary team. The role is offered on a part or full-time basis working 3, 4 or 5 days per week. The post-holder will be part of the wider dental team, providing clinical support to with the assistance of our support team and their role will include 50% private work. They will provide a full range of dental care to the patients of the dental practice, from routine examinations to advanced specialist treatments.

Main duties of the job

  • Examination, assessment and treatment of patients.
  • Undertake the diagnosis, selection of appropriate periodontal techniques and delivery of periodontal care in an effective way.
  • Undertake more advanced periodontal treatment procedures if trained to do so.
  • Routine exodontia and/or simple surgical extractions.
  • Undertake the diagnosis, selection of appropriate restorative technique and the delivery of restoration or replacement of teeth in an effective way.
  • Identify commonly occurring emergencies and leads the dental team in the appropriate first line management of the emergency, using appropriate techniques, equipment, and drugs.

We are a friendly surgery based in Haverhill close to Cambridge. You will be joining a multidisciplinary team of hygienists, therapists, dentists focussed on patient care. The practice has experience in training student hygienists, young dentists and foreign dentists.
