Job summary

Ivry Street Medical Practice in Ipswich are looking to recruit a full-time, enthusiastic and highly motivated pharmacy technician to join our team on a permanent basis. You will be an employee of Barrack Lane and Ivry Street PCN.

The successful applicant will be joining an established medicine management team, experienced clinical pharmacist and prescription clerks, to deliver our medicine management program of work, including medication reviews for all our patients.

As part of the role you'll be supported in completing the primary care education pathway with CPPE.

Main duties of the job

• Experience as working as a qualified, registered pharmacy technician in primary care, community or hospital pharmacy
• Confident in the use of electronic record systems and spreadsheets
• Evidence of consistent pattern of learning from education, training and experience
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as a good clinical knowledge base
• Be able to remain calm under pressure and be able to multi-task

We are a four Partner Practice with over 13,500 patients. Alongside our partners we also have a further 4 salaried GPs, advanced nurse practitioner, paramedic, 6 practice nurses and 3 HCAs. We also have regular mental health team support, with a presence on site almost daily and medicine management team. Patient-centred care is at the heart of our organisation, with one of our key objectives being to provide a high-quality service to our patients. We have a high QOF achievement. Currently rated 'Good' by the CQC. We use SystmOne for our Clinical system, and also utilise various digital platforms such as Accurx to support our processes.
