Job summary
The Reynard Surgery is looking to recruit an advanced nurse practitioner to join our ANP team on a full-time basis. We currently have 3 well established and experienced ANPs and are now looking to increase the size of this very busy team.
We are currently looking to cover 37.5 hrs on a Monday to Friday basis that may at times include working as part of our enhanced hours teams. However, we are prepared to be flexible around how these hours are covered. You may be expected at times to work remotely.
You would be part of an organisation that makes a difference to our patients. We support patients with a multi-skilled professional team of clinical and non-clinical friendly staff, providing high quality, person-centred, holistic care to patients.
We are looking for an ACP who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for patients presenting at the practice from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making & expert care, including assessment & diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice. The post holder will need to demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision making process.
The successful candidate should come from a general practice or similar background. As an experienced healthcare professional, educated to masters level, you will have the skills & knowledge to take on an expanded role & scope of practice caring for patients.
Main duties of the job
- Demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist service providing advice, education and support to staff, patients, their families and carers.
- Practising autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner within the designated speciality area to provide patient-centred clinical care. This will encompass the skills of advanced clinical assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice throughout the directorate.
- Support new ways of working that emphasises a more efficient and patient-focused service, and will ensure the safe treatment, referral and discharge of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations in their area.
- Responsibility for leading the on-going development of clinical practice and standards of care within the service, including the development of policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues.
- Responsibility for working towards all QOF targets.
