Job summary
South Rural PCN are looking to welcome a salaried GP (CCT within the last 2 years) to join the Holbrook and Shotley Practice for 6-8 sessions per week. We are a friendly practice close to Ipswich town centre with a high QOF achievement and low level of complaints. The role will include all general duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care, offering a manageable workload with home visits undertaken by our visiting paramedic. Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group. Relocation package is considered for the right applicant. Main duties of the job
- Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management, and primary prevention and screening services.
- Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and are responsible for ensuring that all your mandatory training is in date.
- Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety.
- Commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a confidential manner.

South Rural PCN was formed in June 2019 with five like-minded practices wanting to provide a joined up service for local communities. The PCN provides services to 56,000 patients across rural Suffolk.
The Holbrook and Shotley Practice is a GP Practice across two surgery sites. We pride ourselves on providing a high standard of care to our 8000 patients. Our practice team comprises of three GP Partners, two salaried GP, supported by a highly experienced team of nurses, dispensers, paramedic, clinical pharmacist and the reception team. We are close to excellent schools and good local facilities including water sports, sailing, marina, golf and walking paths.
