Job summary

Holbrook and Shotley Practice located in Ipswich, have an opportunity for an ANP or ECP to join their established team, ideally on a full time basis but we are flexible and happy to consider those looking for part-time role - please do get in touch.

The role offers you the opportunity to build on your experience of working effectively within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team, as you work alongside fellow professionals within the practice in support of one another.

The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility in attitude and behaviour. They will be keen to undertake new ways of working and delivering healthcare, committing to under-taking the professional development required to adapt to changing circumstances.

Main duties of the job

  • Respond to referrals and provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment at first point of contact by attending to patients, according to patients needs either in the practice or patient homes.
  • Support, and continue the development of, an on-the-day emergency patient service in the practice.
  • Accurately triage and prioritise patients, including in both emergency situations and telephone triage, demonstrating the use of a variety of techniques to elicit the history of an event/illness, including past medical and drug history.
  • Evaluate clinical information from examination and history taking, and initiate appropriate treatment and/or referral.
  • Review the effectiveness of the treatment provided, making changes where necessary to improve patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in an efficient manner.

About us

The Holbrook and Shotley Practice is based across two surgery sites. We pride ourselves on providing a high standard of care to our 8000 patients. Our practice team comprises of three GP partners, two salaried GP, supported by a highly experienced team of nurses, dispensers, paramedic, clinical pharmacist and the reception team.
