Job summary
Flitwick Surgery has a great opportunity for a patient services administrator to join our team on a part-time basis, for 30.5 hours per week, days/times to be discussed at interview.
There is more to this role than answering the phone and making appointments. We are looking for staff to join our busy patient services team, to help make a positive impact on our local community. We would welcome applications from organised, adaptable, and friendly individuals.
Main duties of the job
- Help patients to access the right services.
- Assist with keeping health records accurate and up-to-date.
- Ensure that appointment bookings are well-managed.
- Be involved in the background administrative and secretarial work that supports the smooth running of a GP surgery.
About us
Flitwick is a busy surgery, run as a partnership and serving a practice population of 14,250 patients. The clinical team consists of GPs, ANPs/minor illness nurses, pharmacists, practice nurses and HCAs. We are a training practice for GPs and also take part in medical research. We are part of Green Vale Health PCN.
Due to our location in Flitwick, a commuter town in rural Bedfordshire, the practice population is diverse, covering patients of all life stages. We have good links to the A6 and M1.
