Job summary
Suthergrey House Medical Centre in central Watford is a friendly GP practice who are currently looking to expand our medical services by employing an enthusiastic and committed GP to join our brilliant team to work for 4 sessions a week. We really care about the fulfilment of our staff and feel that this leads to offering a holistic and quality healthcare service. Our expanding team includes clinical pharmacists, a first contact physiotherapist, who work alongside our practice nursing team to provide high quality care to our patients. We use the EMIS web clinical system and Docman triaged by clinical coders to reduce the workload.
Main duties of the job
- Undertaking a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, reports and correspondence in a timely fashion.
- Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting medical problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation
- Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
