Job summary
Felmores Medical Centre in Basildon,has an opportunity for an experienced advanced nurse practitioner to work across their two sites in Basildon. This position can be offered on a full or part-time basis, Monday to Friday with the successful post-holder working collaboratively with the general practice teams to meet the needs of the patients.
As an experienced healthcare professional, educated to masters level, they will have developed the skills and knowledge to allow them to take on an expanded role and scope of practice caring for patients.
Main duties of the job
- provide care for presenting patient, from initial history taking clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of care.
- demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist service providing advice, education and support to staff, patients, their families and carers.
- be practising autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner within the designated speciality area to provide patient-centred clinical care.
- support new ways of working that emphasises a more efficient and patient-focused service, and will ensure the safe treatment, referral and discharge of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations in their area.
- have responsibility for leading the on-going development of clinical practice and standards of care within the service, including the development of policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues.
