Job summary

Colchester Medical Practice, an established and successful practice and primary care network, is looking to appoint a part-time permanent clinical coder and QOF administrator.

The successful applicant will join our experienced and expanding coding/QOF team based at Castle Gardens Medical Centre in Colchester (we cannot offer home working).

We require you to work 25 hours a week, working Monday to Friday, but your hours are flexible. (i.e. start time is flexible, so this may suit someone looking for school hours).

We are looking for candidates who have experience in clinical coding/QOF/EMIS web clinical system for this specialised role, although we would welcome applications from candidates who have experience of working in the NHS or primary care in another role or coding experience in a hospital.

Main duties of the job

  • Coding clinical documents accurately within a 48 hour timescale.
  • Forwarding clinical documents to clinicians following the practice protocol.
  • Carrying out clinical document follow-up actions following the practice protocol.
  • Quality outcomes framework (QOF) - you will be responsible for allocated QOF clinical indicators to achieve targets for the practice.

Interviews will be carried out for successful applicants from receipt of application. Closing date 29th November 2024, but the advert may be retracted if position filled before the closing date.
