Practice Nurse/Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Job summary

Benfleet PCN are looking to recruit either practice nurses or advanced nurse practitioners to join our multi-disciplinary team on Saturdays between 9am - 5pm at their Rushbottom Lane Surgery. This role is based on a locum basis and is to work specifically on our women's health clinic only. The minimum expectation is to work 9am - 2pm weekly or bi-weekly.

Main duties of the job

• Fitting and removing both coils and implants.
• Patients will be pre-assessed before the appointment, prescription already issued and booked into the clinic.
• Weekday clinics are not available and no other appointments other than coils and implant fittings and removals will be booked into the clinic.
• A GP will be on site as well as a receptionist and chaperone available.
• We are looking for a start date asap as we already have a reasonably large waiting list across the PCN.

Benfleet PCN was formed in June 2019 with seven like-minded practices wanting to provide a joined up integrated service for our population. The PCN now includes 40 staff members, and we have been known as the accelerator PCN in Mid and South Essex. The PCN provides services for just under 48,000 patients across the patch.
