Practice Manager

Job summary

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an accomplished and highly motivated practice manager to join the team at Burnham Surgery. The successful candidate will be motivated, committed, and forward-thinking with experience and enthusiasm in managing a GMS GP practice.

Main duties of the job

• Managing and coordinate all aspects of practice functionality.
• Motivating and managing staff.
• Optimising efficiency and financial performance.
• Ensuring the practice achieves its long-term strategic objectives in a safe and effective working environment.
• Through innovative ways of working, leading the team in promoting quality & clinical governance.
• Ensuring the practice complies with CQC regulations.
• HR management; staffing, recruitment and organisational development.
• Producing performance data and meeting targets.
• Strategic management and business development and finance.
• Supporting the practice partners and the rest of the team.

About us

The Burnham Surgery is an established & popularGP practice in Burnham on Crouch, serving 9,800 patients and currently growing.We have 3 GP partners, 2 salaried GPs, 1 nurse prescriber, 4 practice nurses, 3 HCAs,a full-time assistant practice managerand highly committed and enthusiastic administrative and reception staff.

We are a training practice with the capacity to host 3 GP registrars, medical and nursing students and we also have an admin/reception apprentice.

We adopt a team approach to patient care and endeavour to monitor the service provided to patients, to ensure that it meets current standards of excellence.

We are currently engaged with Mid & South Essex ICB to commission an extension to provide for our ever-growing list of patients and services.
