Job summary

Chelmer Medical Partnership have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent GP assistant to join their team at their Merlin Place practice on a part-time basis for 30 hours per week.

General practice assistants, (GPAs), form part of a multi-disciplinary team within primary care to provide a support role within our duty hub, carrying out administrative tasks and care navigating.

Main duties of the job

  • Triaging and booking appointments as appropriate as part of the Duty Hub team, using the AccuRx triage system.
  • Sending referrals to Pharmacy First and MECs.
  • Managing all internal and external enquiries in an effective manner.
  • Scanning of patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents. to patients healthcare records.
  • Supporting patient experience by reiterating information from the GP.
  • Assisting with practice tasks.
  • Supporting the wider practice team where required.
