Job summary
Flitwick Surgery has a great opportunity for a patient services administrator to join our team on a full or part-time basis (if part-time then you will be required to work on Thursdays and Fridays).
Main duties of the job
- Keeping health records accurate and up-to-date.
- Background administrative and secretarial work that supports the smooth running of the practice.
- Assisting patients to access the right services.
- Ensuring that appointment bookings are well-managed.
- Ensuring that appointment bookings are well-managed.
- Uploading information into the partnership's clinical system.
- Retrieving paper notes as requested.
- Photocopying documents as required.
- Dealing with referrals to primary care.
- Actioning tasks set by clinicians and the practice manager.
- Processing practice post and emails.
- Registering new patients.
- Handling phone enquiries efficiently.
About us
Flitwick is a busy surgery, run as a partnership and serving a practice population of 14,250 patients. The clinical team consists of GPs, ANPs/minor illness nurses, pharmacists, practice nurses and HCAs. We are a training practice for GPs and also take part in medical research. We are part of Green Vale Health PCN.
Due to our location in Flitwick, a commuter town in rural Bedfordshire, the practice population is diverse, covering patients of all life stages. We have good links to the A6 and M1.
