Job summary

Park Lane Surgery in Broxbourne is looking to recruit a scanner/coder/workflow administrator to work within our admin team on a part-time basis, with the days and times to be discussed further at interview, to provide clinical administrative support to our medical team.

Main duties of the job

  • Scanning and coding clinical documents accurately and within a 48-hour timescale.
  • Forwarding clinical documents to clinicians following practice protocol.
  • Carrying out clinical document follow-up actions, following practice protocol.
  • Responsibility for allocating QOF clinical indicators and achieving targets for the practice.

We are a friendly, supportive, well organised and enthusiastic GMS Practice, dedicated to providing traditional family orientated general practice based in Broxbourne. We currently have over 10,000 patients, 3 partners, 4 salaried GPs, a great nursing support team and a vast array of administrative staff.

We are consistently high achieving in all QOF and Enhanced Services areas with an innovative team structure with individual patient lists. We operate the SystmOne computer system.

Essential

  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to work to a high standard and at a fast pace.
  • Ability to manage your own workload, but have the support of the coding QOF team and line manager.
  • A team player, flexible and able to cover when team members are on annual leave or unwell.
  • Experience in clinical coding/QOF/SystmOne clinical system would be preferred, although we welcome applications from candidates with NHS or primary care experience in similar roles.
