Job summary
Central Surgery in Sawbridgeworth has a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and dedicated nurseto join our team on a part time basis, for 30 hours a week.
Main duties of the job
- Wound management. administering childhood immunisations, travel vaccinations & women's health, including cervical smears, contraception and HRT.
- Providing health promotion and lifestyle advice, including referrals to community services.
- Assisting in ensuring all QOF and enhanced service targets are met.
- Assisting in the organisation and implementation of vaccination campaigns (e.g., Influenza, Meningitis, MMR, HPV).
- Ensuring compliance with infection control measures, CQC standards, and other regulatory requirements.
- Training will be given in chronic disease management, asthma and diabetes.

Central Surgery is located in the centre of Sawbridgeworth in newly extended and refurbished purpose built premises. Sawbridgeworth is situated between Harlow and Bishops Stortford, surrounded by pretty countryside and picturesque villages & the town has a small traditional shopping centre, several restaurants, cafes and pubs, served by the main London railway line from Liverpool Street, with good connections to Stansted Airport. It is also conveniently located for access to the M11 motorway.
Our practice falls within the boundary of Hertfordshire and West Essex ICB and is part of Stort Valley and Villages Primary Care Network and the local federation, Stort Valley Health Care Limited.
