Job summary
Fressingfield Medical Centre is looking for an emergency care practitioner to join their busy practice, with complete flexibility regarding the number of sessions, depending on the successful candidate.
You will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic team player who can demonstrate high standards of clinical excellence and has experience working in a general practice environment. You will be dynamic with the drive and vision to shape the development of the role and also healthcare provision locally. You will demonstrate safe clinical decision making and expert care, working collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of our patients.

Main duties of the job
- Be a registered paramedic, with current HCPC registration and have post-registration experience, ideally with some being in primary care;
- Have completed ENP/ ECP Minor Injuries and Minor Illness course Level 6 and be a ALS/APLS provider;
- Be able to effectively assess, plan, treat and refer patients;
- Be able to evaluate patient care confidently;
- Have experience of working to protocols and guidelines;
- To exhibit excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills;
- Have the ability to make clear decisions with confidence and communicate these effectively;
- Understanding of the need to work within the parameters of one's own training and capability, according to the Health and Care Professions Council;
- Experience of autonomous practice working and multi-professional team working;
- Can demonstrate a broad and sound knowledge of complex and common conditions in primary care in both adults and children.

We are a rural dispensing practice with over 6000 patients between two sites situated 4 miles apart. Our clinical team comprises of three full-time GPs, two nurse practitioners, five practice nurses & HCA & phlebotomists. We have a dedicated team of support staff.
