Job summary
Chelmer Medical Partnership has an opportunity for a prescription clerk to join their busy prescribing team at the heart of their patient care service. This role is offered on a part-time basis for 16 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
- Ensuring a safe and efficient operation by processing repeat prescriptions.
- Liaising with our GPs, Clinical Pharmacists, and community pharmacies.
- Providing patient education and advice where appropriate.
- Checking email requests.
- Responding to all queries and requests from chemists, nursing homes and district nurses, regarding the issue of prescriptions.
- Keeping repeat prescription information up-to-date in the patient journal, such as letters and doctors' requests.
- Sending out review letters.
- Keep up-to-date with all prescribing guidelines and protocols, relevant to the position.

The partnership provides a GP service to approximately 32,000 patients in the Chelmsford area.
