Job summary

Queens Park Surgery is looking to appoint an experienced practice manager to lead our organisation, on a full-time basis. Our organisation comprises of 3 local surgeries within a short distance of each other.

Main duties of the job

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practices, ensuring efficient and effective management of resources.
  • Managing and developing the practice administrative staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Liaising with NHS and other healthcare organisations, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Providing solid leadership, based on sound knowledge of business management, finance, planning and human resource management.
  • Implementing and monitoring systems and processes to improve patient experience and practice efficiency.
  • Managing the practice finances, including budgeting, invoicing, and financial reporting.
  • Developing and implementing strategic plans to support the organisation in its growth and development.

We work alongside the other 3 practices in Billericay as part of the Billericay PCN providing services to the whole of Billericay and have PCN ARRS staff working in all practices.

  • Experience as a practice manager or in a senior administrative role within a healthcare setting, preferably in a primary care environment.
  • Thorough understanding of the NHS, its policies, regulations, and primary care networks.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with patients, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in financial management, including budgeting and reporting.
  • Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiency.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and improving the patient experience.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of SystmOne is desirable.
