Job summary
Oakfield Surgery has an opportunity for an enthusiastic & flexible care navigator with strong customer service skills to join our team on a full or part-time basis. Oakfield Surgery are part of Suffolk Primary Care - a group of 8 GP practices across Suffolk. We have an established team with a strong focus on customer service & communication.
The post-holder will interact with patients to ensure they are offered a positive experience by providing professional front line & call handling services. They will help patients to access the right services, assist with keeping health records accurate & up-to-date, & ensure that appointment bookings are well-managed.
Main duties of the job
- Provide & process information in response to patients' enquiries, concerns & requests
- Work as part of the reception team in an efficient manner, providing high quality reception, admin & support services to all patients, visitors & staff
- Greet & direct all patients
- Ensure an effective & efficient reception service is provided to patients & visitors to the practice
- Deal with all general enquiries, explain procedures & make follow-up appointments as requested by clinicians.
- Use own judgement & communication skills to ensure that patients with no prior appointment but who need urgent consultation are seen in a logical & non-disruptive manner.
- We would love to hear from candidates with GP surgery experience, those that can show flexibility & a range of transferable skills.
