Job summary
Barton Hills Medical Group has a fantastic opportunity for a receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis for 21 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 13.15 - 18.30, to make a positive contribution to the care in our local community and develop on a long term career path within the practice.
In this essential front-line role at the practice, receptionists help patients to access the right services, assist with keeping health records accurate and up-to-date, and ensure that appointment bookings are well-managed. We would welcome applications from organised, adaptable, and friendly individuals, who are keen to help us provide high levels of customer service.
Main duties of the job
- Greeting and directing all patients.
- Making appointments and giving out appointment cards, where required.
- Accepting, issuing and handing out prescriptions, letters, completed forms, specimen bottles, etc.
- Dealing with requests for information, and managing problems and complaints.
- Advising patients of practice procedures.
- Registering new patients.
- Answering the telephone, promptly.

Our practice is a small and a friendly environment with 8000 patients. We are a training practice and are part of a successful primary care network.
