Job summary

Cobbs Garden Surgery has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and positive individual to take over the management reigns of our well-established practice on a full-time or four day a week basis. This is a unique opportunity to join the progressive leadership of our team as we aspire to deliver ever more high-quality care and embrace the demands of modernising general practice.

Our new manager will be encouraged to look at modern ways of working and challenge the traditional way health care is delivered in a primary care setting. If you are an experienced practice manager looking for a new challenge, then we would love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

The main responsibilities of the role include all the varied aspects of practice management, being fundamental to our daily functioning:

  • compliance and strategic development
  • human resources
  • financial management
  • delivering key clinical and administrative targets
  • innovation.

About us

Cobbs Garden surgery is a long-established practice in the lovely market town of Olney in North Buckinghamshire with a patient list size of 8,500 patients. Our clinical team consists of 3 partners, 2 salaried GPs, 2 ANPs, practice nurses, pharmacist, physiotherapist and social prescriber all working within a multidisciplinary team environment. The wider admin staff are caring and conscientious and there is a strong team ethos.

You would be working closely with the managing partner and deputy practice manager and will have 6 weeks annual leave, bank holidays and access to NHS pension.

Our CQC Rating: Good

We are keen to encourage any prospective candidates to speak to the managing partner, Dr Chris Herman before applying at chris.herman@nhs.net.
