Job summary

Mill Road Surgery in Colchester has an opportunity for an administration manager to join our busy practice support team, on a part-time basis for 30 hours per week, over 4-5 days, whose primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless operation of all administrative processes within the practice.

Main duties of the job

This includes overseeing a team with various responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

  • Registrations and GP links
  • Referral management
  • Clinical correspondence management
  • Managing non-NHS work such as medical reports
  • Medical record management
  • Clinical coding & note summarising

You will actively support, mentor, train and develop team members and its expected that you will regularly check in with the team, provide 1-to-1s, and support them as their direct report. You will report directly to the practice manager, and work with the management and coordination team on the following:

  • QOF & Enhanced Services
  • Complaints management
  • Internal IT support (troubleshooting PC, printer, smartcard issues)
  • Performing searches/reports, build/modify protocols on SystmOne
