Job summary

Stanton Surgery has an exciting opportunity for a clinical services manager to work alongside our operations/HR manager & dispensary manager. Together the management team will oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, working closely with the two GP partners. The management team will also liaise regularly to look at ways to continually develop the practice in line with the partners' vision.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a confident and personable manager to work alongside our clinical teams who will always strive to make a difference for the patients registered with us, and who is a team player. You will be responsible for ensuring patients are recalled for their medical care, and will constantly review clinical targets to make sure patients are called in in a timely manner for their care. You will ensure the clinical team is adequately staffed and rotas covered and adapt them as needed to deliver all aspects of clinical care to ensure targets are met and that the practice is CQC compliant. You will be able to problem solve and develop and input into new ways of working.

About us

We are a rural dispensing & training practice located in the village of Stanton, set in the beautiful Suffolk countryside close to Bury St Edmunds, with a stable population of approximately 5300 patients.

We offer a supportive, happy environment, and last year we were approved as a GP training practice. We already have GP trainees working alongside us, and in the future we aim to host nursing students also. We have a team of three nurses, and work closely with our PCN colleagues who visit the surgery weekly, such as a social prescriber, mental health link worker, primary mental health worker and physiotherapist. We are part of Blackbourne PCN and work in modern purpose-built premises, which have recently been extended to provide a bright and airy setting in which to work.

We are forward thinking and always looking for new ways to do things to ensure we provide the best possible care for our patients. Our clinical system is SystmOne. We are rated GOOD across all areas by CQC.

We actively encourage informal visits to meet our friendly team. For further information about the role please contact: n.redman@nhs.net.
