Job summary
Ambrose Avenue Practice has a fantastic opportunity for a medical secretary to join their team on a full-time basis to act as a central point of contact for the clinical team.
This is an essential front-line role at the practice, providing an efficient, comprehensive secretarial and administrative support service to the practice management team.

Main duties of the job
- Typing all letters, medical referrals and tasks using the appropriate proforma, template, or headed letter.
- Referring via the e-referrals system and other referral pathways.
- Typing all letters and medical referrals promptly, prioritizing those marked as 2ww and Urgent.
- Chasing referrals/results, contact the appropriate consultants secretary/hospital.
- Emailing anything that needs to be sent urgently.
- Keeping an updated record of appropriate names and telephone and email addresses of organisations suitable for practice use.
- Any other typing that the clinical team may require and all any other secretarial duties that may be required by the doctor and management team.
