Job summary

A full time operations manager is required at Helix Medical Centre, to support the practice manager and GP partners in all aspects of practice functionality including motivating and managing direct reports, patient services, premises, and health and safety management.

Organisational and leadership skills are important for this role, as the operations manager will lead and be responsible for the efficient management and motivation of the reception/administration teams, ensuring all duties are performed effectively and to the required standard, meeting the objectives of the practice, whilst ensuring the practice complies with CQC regulations.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is expected to be accountable and to make decisions on day to day operational issues for areas within their responsibility and be responsible for the delivery of the services within their remit.

We are a growing, family orientated training practice with a current list size of nearly 9,400 patients. We have modern facilities and are based within Herts & Essex Community Hospital in Bishop's Stortford. We pride ourselves on delivering professional medical care in a friendly environment while striving to meet all the challenges of modern general practice.

We are members of the local primary care network providing extended services as a hub to the local community. We also work with allied health professionals together with an expanding complement of ARRs staff including a physician associate, clinical pharmacist, pharmacy technician, health and wellbeing advisor, care co-ordinator and first contact physio etc. There is a wide socio-economic and demographic served within our catchment area providing an interesting and varied case mix.
