Job summary

St. Luke's Hospice is a charity rooted in the local community and dedicated to providing compassionate care to individuals facing incurable diseases. Our goal is to preserve dignity and provide patient choice during the final stages of life.

This is an excitingopportunity for an experienced health professional to come and lead a service providing specialist advise and treatment for patients regarding lymphoedema treatment and management, to work as part of a team within ouroutpatientservice at the Hospice, on a part time basis for 30 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

Based in the South Essex Lymphoedema Service (SELS)Team, this role will also manage and oversee the Complementary Therapy Service.

Our care considers peoples medical, spiritual and emotional needs, includingsupport for loved ones and carers. Anyone living in Basildon and Thurrock can call onus 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Working alongside other healthcare providers, our specialist services are available atthe hospice, out in the community or in a persons place of residence. Together, we fulfilpeoples choices at the end of their life. We are a charity and the services we provide are free. We rely on voluntary incomefrom local people to deliver the care they deserve.

  • NMC registration

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Essential

  • You will have a proven working knowledge of lymphoedema treatments.
  • You will have experience in motivating, developing and managing a team.
  • You will have Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) qualifications.
  • You will be able to work well as part of a team as well as autonomously.
  • Complementary therapy qualifications desirable but not essential.
