Job summary
Chelmer Medical Partnershiphas a fantastic opportunity for an experiencedpractice nurse to join our forward-thinking practice, on a part-time basis, for a minimum of 20 hours per week. The post-holder will need to work all day on Mondays, but the remainder can be discussed at interview.
Main duties of the job
Chelmer Medical Partnership is a three-site practice based in Chelmsford, formed by Humber Road Surgery, Melbourne House Surgery and Tennyson House Surgery. The post-holder will be required to work across these three sites.

- All applicants should have the following qualifications, registrations, skills and experience:
- A relevant nursing degree;
- Current NMC registration with an active PIN;
- Fundamentals of Practice Nursing course (General Practice Nurse Foundation Programme) or equivalent experience or qualifications;
- Competence to undertake asthma, COPD and diabetic clinics and reviews, holding relevant certificates would be an advantage;
- Evidence of clinical skills and experience in treatment room consultation, screening, management of long-term conditions, cervical cytology sampling, vaccinations and immunisations, assisting with minor surgery, dressing and wound care;
- Compassionate manner with an empathetic approach and demonstrable kindness in all aspects of your work. The successful candidate will value the dignity of our patients, their relatives and carers, as well as their colleagues at the practice;
- Knowledge, and experience of its application, in supporting long-term conditions;
- Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the wider NHS.
