Job summary

Job Title: Respiratory Physiologist Salary: Competitive Hours: 37.5 hrs per week. Monday- Friday typically as per local rota, varying shift pattern. Location: Redruth Cornwall Following the Michael Richards report, in which it was highlighted that diagnostic services should be delivered taking a new approach to provide more accessibility to people in the community, away from acute settings, we at InHealth are excited to be partnering with the NHS to develop new Community Diagnostic Centres across the country to support this vision. We are delighted to be opening a new Community Diagnostic Centre in Redruth Cornwall in Summer, and are actively recruiting now. Right now, we are looking to recruit Respiratory Physiologists into the team, to leading our respiratory clinics. .

Main duties of the job

What will you do: As a Respiratory Physiologist, as a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for performing and supporting the reporting of high quality respiratory diagnostic tests. -Performing multiple respiratory examinations to a high quality and with precision -Record all data accurately within the policy -Interpret assessments as required -Supporting the patient pathway within respiratory, ensuring patients understand the procedure they are about to undertake and any reasonable adjustments are made -Maintaining the quality control of the equipment -Training and mentoring the team -Provide reports as requested by your manager -Assist and participate in audits as required.

We are excited to expand our services in partnership with the NHS, launching a state-of-the-art Community Diagnostic Centre in Redruth, Cornwall. As part of this, were looking for Respiratory Physiologists to join our team and help us deliver exceptional diagnostic services to the local community.

Your Role:

As a Respiratory Physiologist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality respiratory diagnostics while ensuring excellent patient care. Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting a range of diagnostic tests in line with ARTP guidelines, including spirometry, gas transfer, and static lung volumes. Assisting with specialist and complex diagnostic assessments. Producing detailed reports and effectively communicating findings to referring medical teams. Maintaining and calibrating diagnostic equipment to ensure accuracy. Supporting service development and staying up to date with industry advancements. Mentoring and guiding Trainee Healthcare Scientists. Line managing junior team members.

What Were Looking For:

BSc in Healthcare Science (Physiological Science) or equivalent with a specialisation in Respiratory and Sleep Science. ARTP Professional Qualifications and current registration with RCCP or AHCS. A strong commitment to Continuing Professional Development. A passion for delivering outstanding patient care and working collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
