Job summary

The post-holder will support the Corporate Quality Assurance Manager in providing internal quality assurance and service audits that improve the quality of delivery across all DESPs (diabetic Eye Screening) , TLHC (Targeted Lung Health) and demonstrate compliance as measured against National Guidance, InHealth Intelligence Protocols and operating procedures and Commissioner contractual requirements. Provide general support to the bid and Mobilisation teams as directed by the Corporate DESP Quality Assurance Manager.

Main duties of the job

Due to the locality of the DESPs there will be a need to travel and staying away from the base location as part of this role. Most travel will be planned in advance; however there may be occasions where it is not.

Job responsibilities

Job title: Quality Assurance Officer

Salary: £23,500

Hours: Monday to Friday

Location: Middlewich

Introduction:

The post-holder will support the Corporate Quality Assurance Manager in providing internal quality assurance and service audits that improve the quality of delivery across all DESPs (diabetic Eye Screening) , TLHC (Targeted Lung Health) and demonstrate compliance as measured against National Guidance, InHealth Intelligence Protocols and operating procedures and Commissioner contractual requirements. Provide general support to the bid and Mobilisation teams as directed by the Corporate DESP Quality Assurance Manager.

Due to the locality of the DESPs there will be a need to travel and staying away from the base location as part of this role. Most travel will be planned in advance; however there may be occasions where it is not.

Key Duties

  • Assist the Corporate Quality Assurance Manager in the identification of potential areas of non-conformance and risk within InHealth Intelligence programmes recommending areas for quality assurance investigation and audit accordingly.
  • Monitor call stats and call handling through the 8x8 application and providing feedback for the DESP Bookings Managers to share with the teams
  • Carry out weekly call audits for TLHC providing feedback to the PCAs, Team Leaders & Managers
  • Perform monthly checks across all DESPs.
  • Assist in Venue Spot checks across all the DESP Programmes
  • Work with the Corporate DESP Quality Assurance Manager on the undertaking of audits, investigations and compliance visits as directed.
  • Undertaking specific DESP service improvement projects as directed by the Corporate Quality Assurance Manager
  • Processing DESP candidates on a monthly basis when GP Practices failed to do so.
  • Support Engagement when needed to email securely the patient result letters
  • Assisting the Corporate Quality Assurance Manager in the mobilisation of new programmes through (amongst other things):Sourcing, selection, securing and compliance checking of potential screening venues. Ordering consumables and other equipment/facilities for the start up of new Programmes.
