Job summary
InHealth is an accredited provider of hearing services, alongside specialist balance and wax removal services, across the UK.
Our GP direct referral, patient centred, community audiology services are delivered from GP surgeries and community hospital locations, facilitating timely diagnosis for patients with hearing and balance problems as well as access to a range of on-going support and aftercare.
Main duties of the job
- Undertaking audiological procedures in line with existing clinical guidelines and protocols
- Processing and triaging patient referrals in line with modality guidelines
- Running quality assurance checks on equipment and actioning as appropriate
- Ensuring due regard is given to the customs, values and spiritual beliefs of patients and to ensure patients views are sought and taken into account
- Demonstrating safe, effective practice in line with the company policies and procedures
- Assisting with the booking of patients when necessary
- Ensuring the patient information systems are maintained with accurate and up to date information
- Maintaining professional competencies and CPD
Reporting all incidents and complaints in line with company policy
- Monitoring essential stocks and re-ordering when required
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Adhering to the requirements of the Data Protection Act.

Job title: Audiologist
Salary: 29,250 - 31,250 inclusive of London allowance
Hours: 36 hours per week on a local rota Monday - Sunday
Location: London Mobiles

What you will do:
As an InHealth Audiologist you will be undertaking standard and complex adult test procedures efficiently and effectively within current guidelines. You will be adhering to best practice audiology technique and providing expertise to ensure the appropriate examination of patients. Working as part of a friendly team to a high standard, you will be maintaining a high level of professionalism and technical standard of work with relevant Codes of Practice.
What you are responsible for:
- Undertaking audiological procedures in line with existing clinical guidelines and protocols
- Processing and triaging patient referrals in line with modality guidelines
- Running quality assurance checks on equipment and actioning as appropriate

We are looking for someone who has:
- Proven knowledge of the requirements of a audiologists role in the care of patients, and to colleagues
- Computer literacy with accurate data entry skills and attention to detail
- Proven competency in verbal and written communication
- The ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of the Data Protection Act and Caldicott Principle
- Infection control training, manual handling and patient transfer training, plus health and safety awareness.

- Masters or bachelors degree in Audiological Science or equivalent
- BAA/BSA part 1 and part 2
- Membership of RCCP, BAA, HCPC, or relevant professional body
