Job Title: Trainee MRI Radiographer
Hours: Monday-Sunday 3 x 12 hour shifts between 7am and 9pm typically
Location: South West of England (Mobile role)
Start Date: April 2024 or September 2024
InHealth sees more than 4 million patients each year and diagnostic imaging is one of the busiest services that we provide. We are looking for a Trainee MRI Radiographer to join our Mobile MRI Team in the South West of England, covering locations across Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, and along the south coast towards Portsmouth.
As this is a mobile role you will be eligible for a company car or car allowance. We will take your home location into account but you will be required to travel the region as required to support your training (and when working away from home you will be provided hotel accommodation at InHealth Cost).

Main duties of the job
You will be embarking on an intensive, structured and exciting programme where you will be solely training in MRI, in order to learn a variety of MRI scans of different levels of complexity, enhance physics knowledge and train to be a qualified MRI Radiographer, ready to progress to the next level in your career.
Complete competency assessments
Learn basic and complex MRI examinations
Learn how to cannulate and perform contrast examinations
Enhance physics knowledge
Provide an excellent patient journey
Adhere to health and safety regulations
Work in line with operational and company policies for a safe working environment for both yourself, the team and patients.

We are looking for someone who has:
- BSc Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent (or a summer 2024 graduate)
- Membership of an appropriate professional body and holds a valid registration (HCPC)
- Valid UK driving license
- A good understanding of fundamental MRI physics and different scanning techniques and sequences
- A proven knowledge of the requirements of a Radiographers role regarding the care of patients, their careers and other colleagues.
- A high level of professionalism and technical standard of work
- Aptitude towards improving quality
- Understanding of the implications of the Data Protection Act, Caldicott Principles and GDPR
- A flexible approach to work and able to work across 7 days (Mon-Sun)
- A positive attitude, taking pride in their work and is passionate about the service they provide
- The passion for developing their career in radiography and working towards new milestones
- A right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Valid UK driving license
