Job summary

We are recruiting a part time Assistant Director Partnerships and Equality to focus on Policy and Delivery. You will work closely with our current Assistant Director who focuses on Development and Delivery.

Main duties of the job

As an Assistant Director, Partnerships and Equality you will:

  • Lead on policy and strategic development for Partnerships & Equality
  • Direct the delivery of agreed programmes from the annual plan
  • Write reports, briefings and articles for internal and external audiences
  • Hold key relationships for collaborative working internally and externally
  • Build and maintain professional and trusted relationships with senior NHS leaders /members, ensuring the member voice and ask is integral to the teams work
  • Act as a voice for our members on tackling inequality, influencing and shaping national policy and its delivery.

  • A proven track record in influencing and stakeholder management at the most senior level with proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, comfortable at influencing at senior management/Board level.
  • Extensive experience of developing and implementing tackling inequality policy and strategy, which is evidence based, demonstrating measurable improvements for those served in NHS environments.
  • Demonstrable verbal and written skills - writing lines, briefs and articles that make complex topics easier to assimilate and appropriate to the audience, including Chief Executives and Chairs.
  • Experience of managing large complex projects and/ or multiple projects and a proven track record in producing results, working to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience of working in a pressured complex environment with well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills in order to build good working relationships and communicate messages effectively
  • Demonstrable understanding of health and care systems and the current challenges they face.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for collaboration and the potential for income generation, including bespoke project work and member offers.
