The NHS Confederation is recruiting a Senior Policy and Data Analyst to join a high-performing team of policy, public affairs and analysis professionals in an influential and high-profile organisation representing the health sector nationally.
Main duties of the job
As a Senior Policy and Data Analyst in the NHS Confederations strategic policy team, you will lead the NHS Confederations data function, working closely with colleagues to provide key statistics and analyse data, presenting it for internal and external audiences.

The role will include:
- Using knowledge of key NHS datasets to provide rapid analysis of emerging data to support media responses, develop compelling narratives and monitor trends.
- Working with experts in the policy team to triangulate qualitative feedback with quantitative data, supporting reports and other outputs with evidence.
- Managing long term deep dive projects including proposing areas of analytical interest for the NHS and wider health and care system.
- Developing relationships with counterparts in key external stakeholder organisations, discussing different interpretations of data, analysis and modelling.
- Managing a more junior data analyst and maintaining oversight and responsibility of the workload for the data function.

- Experience of using Customer Relationship Management systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, or examples of working with qualitative data alongside quantitative data.
