The Practice require a HCA to cover a period of planned absence for 3-6 months for 2 mornings per week phlebotomy (2 sessions 10 hours) £11.80 per hour. To start asap

Main duties of the job
Job Summary:
Working
under the direct supervision of the Practice Nurse team and in accordance with
Practice guidelines and protocols, the Healthcare Assistant will assist the
Practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes
of patient care.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Phlebotomy
ECG recording
Chaperoning duties
Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by
GPs/Nurses
Sterilising, cleansing and maintenance of surgical equipment
Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
Surgical equipment re-stocking and stock rotation
Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms
Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients health
and well-being
Helping to raise
awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted

Helsby and Elton Practice is an established practice of c10,000 patients from a diverse range of social, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Our team currently consists of 5 GP Partners, 1 salaried GP, 3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 GP Assistant and 1 Healthcare Assistant, as well as a bank of reception and admin staff who are committed to patient care.
