About us

We are a GP owned company created to enhance the delivery of healthcare services to people living in Southport and Formby. Our services are provided locally, meaning fewer visits to large, busy hospitals and faster treatment in a convenient location. We’re also flexible, offering extended hours access to a GP during evenings and weekends – recognising that sometimes getting to a daytime appointment just isn’t possible.

Our member practices share resources to ensure that the services we offer are the best they can be. Since the NHS was created in 1948, the population has grown and people are living longer, often with long term conditions such as diabetes and heart disease. Primary Care Networks (PCNs) were created to meet the growing needs of patients, with GP Practices working with community, mental health, social care, pharmacy, hospital and voluntary services in their local areas.

Southport and Formby PCN is one of the largest PCNs, with 16 GP Practices caring for a population of around 125,000 people. The services we offer include Enhanced Health in Care Homes, Cancer Link Support, Social Prescribing and Clinical Pharmacists.

On top of joining an amazing team of people all dedicated to helping the wider community, we can offer you an excellent benefits package as well as a commitment to staff development and wellbeing.
