Job summary

The Post Holder will provide grounds maintenance and gardening services, maintaining grounds, roads and paths within all property of the organisation in order that they are kept in a safe and presentable condition, and will also contribute to the maintenance of the building fabric within the organisation

Main duties of the job

1. Ensure a clean external environment for patient care in accordance with health, safety and compliance requirements and NHS Property Services policies and procedures. 2. This will include trimming hedges, moving lawns, weeding paved surfaces and garden beds, pruning, planting, sewing seeds, litter picking, grass cutting, spray weed killing, road sweeping, clearing road gullies, clearing leaves, landscaping improvements, winter snow and ice clearing, gritting of roads and footpaths, transporting materials and green waste. 3. Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.

Job responsibilities

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Gardener to join our team based at Launceston Hospital. This is a full time permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. Monday-Friday 7.30am-3.30pm. The salary is £24,963.46. This is a mobile role covering sites throughout East Cornwall. DBS check and Driving licence required. Requirements for the role: The Post Holder will provide grounds maintenance and gardening services, maintaining grounds, roads, and paths within all property of the organisation in order that they are kept in a safe and presentable condition, and will also contribute to the maintenance of the building fabric within the organisation.
