Job summary

The role of a Domestic Team Leader is to ensure the delivery of a full cleaning service within NHS Property Services premises in accordance with the NHS Property Services Domestic Services Operative Manual, at the prescribed times, in line with policies and procedures and as detailed in the cleaning work schedules through the provision of management and supervision to the cleaning team

Main duties of the job

Through the day to day management of domestic services, ensure the provision of a high quality, cost effective service which reflects customer need and operates as an effective commercial business unit. Ensure a clean environment for patient care in accordance with health & safety requirements, "NHS National Specification of Cleaning Standards", Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), Patient Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE) and NHS Property Services policies and procedures. Complete, in good time, any administration activities associated with the role, including but not limited to: timesheets submission and approval onto the company HR information systems; rostering; absence records; annual leave information; stock order forms and NHS Property Services/ward communications.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent full time, Domestic Team Leader - Mobile (Van provided) to join our team based at London - St Leonards Hospital Blocks A-E (219-221 Kingsland Road, London E2 8AN)

  • Salary £15.63 per hour £30,554.69
  • Hours of Work - 37.5 hrs per week
  • Monday to Friday 5:30am-9:30am and 5:00pm-8:30pm
  • Training will be provided
  • DBS Required
  • Driver's licence required for this role
  • Van provided
  • About the role:
  • This role will deliver a full cleaning service within NHS Property Services premises in accordance with the NHS Property Services Domestic Services Operative Manual, at the prescribed times, in line with policies and procedures and as detailed in the cleaning work schedules. No experience is required as full training will be provided.

    • City and Guilds Level 3 Cleaning and Support Services or equivalent demonstrable experience.
    • IOSH Managing Safely qualification or willingness to work towards
    • Willingness to undertake assessment and complete further training or qualifications.
