  • Lead the implementation of a strategy that enables Primary Care Doncaster to deliver the opportunities indicated in the NHS 10 Year Health Plan
  • Provide leadership, across Doncaster, for the development of ambitious and thriving neighbourhood services
  • Lead the renewal of our relationship with our member practices through this period of opportunity
  • Provide visible confident, and compassionate leadership across the business

Primary Care Doncaster (PCD) Ltd is developing a wide range of services to support general practice across the city and is looking at innovative ways to develop its workforce, due to interest by a significant number of GP practices and Networks within the city.

Provide day to day Executive and Operational Leadership across all areas of Primary Care Doncaster operations.

Lead the development of Primary Care Doncaster as a thriving business. Develop the organisation, its staff, partners and wider team members with a focus on growth and sustainability, improving existing services and developing new areas of innovative practice and service development.

Engage at a senior level with the local Health and Care System as a credible partner, including liaising, negotiating, and collaborating with all partners to the benefit of the local population.

Support and reinforce our open, positive 'can do' and progressive culture that supports business growth and makes Primary Care Doncaster an enjoyable and fulfilling place to work.

Operate as a key advisor to the Primary Care Doncaster Board of Directors and be responsible for the effective governance of the organisations in conjunction with the Chair of the Board. Ensure that the actions of the Board are those which will contribute to ensuring the best decisions for the patients of local practices.

Manage the key risks and issues associated with delivery of the organisational strategy. ensuring appropriate actions are take to mitigate or respond, ensuring that Primary Care Doncaster operates within its resources and in accordance with contractual specifications .

  • Track record of providing internal and external leadership and direction, building and leading partnerships
  • Played a leading role with measurable positive impact in a values led and focused organisation
  • Has an appreciation of the complexity of General Practice and/or wider public sector funding.

Desirable

  • A professional or other Higher Education qualification in a relevant area and/or Previous NHS or wider health and care experience
  • Generating income for social value
  • Understanding of the cultural features of public sector services
  • Has successfully led an organisation through a period of significant change
