We are currently recruiting for a GP to cover Maternity Leave at one of our practices, Grange Farm Medical Centre, to start as soon as possible.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be flexible and committed to providing high quality patient care whilst representing NCGPA. Being an integral part of NCGPA means you'll also have the opportunity to engage and collaborate with our proficient head office team and senior management.
The successful candidate will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a routine primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all patients attending the service/practice.

In accordance with the service timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties including: surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home if required, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.

- A degree in medicine recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC) Compassion, resourcefulness, stamina, motivation, and perseverance.
- The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
- Excellent time management skills to balance clinical and administrative work.
- Good IT skills and NHS systems knowledge
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with various demands.
- A flexible approach to work and ability to manage change.
- Excellent communication and listening skills for dealing with patients and colleagues
Desirable
- Sound knowledge of the principles and values that support good medical practice
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent and highly developed interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate, both written and verbally, in a manner which is clear and fluent Clear commitment to delivering quality and patient focused services
