Job summary

This role is to provide excellent administrative support within the Human Resources function of the organisation. You will have the opportunity to be involved at the heart of Nottingham City GP Alliance in a busy, challenging, and fast-moving environment. 

This is a successful growing healthcare organisation that is committed to seeking new, creative, and better ways to deliver and develop services for primary care in Nottingham city.

Main duties of the job

  • Supporting the recruitment processes of NCGPA by placing adverts, arranging interviews, requesting, and chasing references, carrying out IT requests, sending letters and keeping managers informed of progress.

  • Undertaking Right to Work checks, DBS checks and qualifications/performers list checks to support recruitment.

  • Supporting the induction process for new employees to the organisation/HR team

  • Training other users in HR systems

  • Updating the HR information systems and databases and ensuring data is accurately record.

  • Forming and maintaining employee HR records/folders.

  • Assisting with employee queries.

  • Assisting with payroll when required by providing the department with relevant employee information.

  • Advising staff and managers on Company policies

  • Assisting with the administration of employee forums, grievances, disciplinaries and formal absence and performance management meetings

  • Supporting HR projects as required

  • Work with employee information within GDPR regulations and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

  • Maintaining and responsible for the HR email inbox.

Nottingham City General Practice Alliance (NCGPA) was formed in 2016. We are Nottingham city’s first GP Federation, often referred to as NCGPA or the Alliance. Our members consist of 45 NHS GP practices in Nottingham city, who cover a population of over 336,000 patients.

NCGPA is a Company Limited by shares, with its member practices being equal shareholders. The company is managed by a board of 8 elected representatives from member GP practices and three co-opted positions representing nursing, lay and non-principal GPs. The day to day running of the company is through a Senior Management team comprising the Chair, Secretary and Treasurer along with the Company’s Chief Operating Officer and a dedicated office team.
