Job summary
NCGPA are looking for an enthusiastic, confident, flexible, and highly organised person to work
within the Primary Care Network (PCN) Team. This is a new and multifaceted role supporting the
PCN with the delivery of the Direct Enhanced Service Contract (PCN DES), through the provision
of patient care co-ordination, and administrative support for the PCN, Clinical Director, Network
Manager and PCN workforce.
This is a patient facing role within front line NHS services. From 1st April 2022 employees will be
required to either be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 or have a valid health exemption certificate.
Main duties of the job
1. Provide meeting support including agenda setting, recording, producing and reviewing
structured minutes and recorded actions. Meetings to include but not restricted to:
• PCN internal leads
• PCN Board Meetings
• PCN Stakeholder meetings
• PCN Workforce meetings.
2. Manage electronic, paper and telephony PCN correspondence.
3. Provide PCN workflow management, reviewing systems to track deadlines and working
with colleagues to diarise and support PCN meetings, workflow and deadlines.
4. Support implementation of initiatives through timely and relevant information analysis
and administrative support.
5. Support the PCN workforce with administrative tasks.
6. Ensure maintenance of the PCN shared drive.
7. Maintain PCN ‘teamnet’ pages
8. Support the PCNs with the delivery of their workforce plans by communicating and
liaising with the HR team in NCGPA on behalf of the PCN Clinical Directors.
9. Support the provision of a single point of contact for patients to self-refer by:
o Taking referrals in from patients by phone, web form and email
o Documenting referrals and uploading them to the system
o Processing the casework appropriately using the correct referral pathways
o Building reports and running date for the PCN
o Building appointment ledgers
o Basic signposting of patients to services

About us
Nottingham City General Practice Alliance (NCGPA) was formed in 2016. We are Nottingham citys first GP Federation, often referred to as NCGPA or the Alliance. Our members consist of 45 NHS GP practices in Nottingham city, who cover a population of over 336,000 patients.
As a federation, we promote, support and facilitate the collaboration of GPs and their workforce throughout our city. Examples of our work to date include developing networks whereby tasks and resources can be shared, empowering frontline practice staff to become active signposters for their patient communities and launching GP+, the citys first ever evening and weekend GP service.
NCGPA also holds the contract for the management and operation of 2 GP Practices in the city: Southglade Medical Practice and Bilborough Medical Centre.
