Job summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and driven individual to join the Nottingham East Primary Care Network (PCN) who is a current Data Analyst or someone looking to take the next step in their career to join our busy and skilled Team.

You will be joining at an exciting time and be a key player in the PCN and roll out of new reporting technologies to help provide the PCN with accurate and up to date data which will be improved by detailed analysis.

The purpose of the role is to provide general IT and Data support to the PCN Practice teams. This will include gathering and recording data, running reports, and interrogating data to support care co-ordination across the PCN.

The post holder will work as part of the PCN Care Co-ordination team and undertake related administrative duties, including the analysis and production of reports on the PCN’s key performance indicators.

The role will require working closely with GPs and other primary care professionals within the PCN to support operational management of the PCN. The focus of the role will be to support population health management and to reflect local priorities and health inequalities.

Nottingham City General Practice Alliance is a GP federation that operates to support, connect, and represent General Practices in Nottingham city. We are the lead employer for Primary Care Network (PCN) staff, employing on behalf of our member PCNs. We are close to employing over 100 ARRS (Additional Role Re-imbursement Scheme) roles.

Job Purpose/Summary

The post-holder will provide information reports and analysis to support business planning, service development and performance management within the Nottingham East PCN

The post holder will research, interpret and compare data from multiple sources, including data from GP practice systems, QOF, Ardens, PCN DES, IIF, demographics, disease prevalence, national systems and secondary care where appropriate.

The candidate will be expected to acquire, interpret and validate data robustly, drawing independent conclusions, and identifying underlying trends, correlations, benchmarks, significance, and outliers.

The post holder will automate the collection and reporting of project performance / specifications and attend regular PCN meetings to present.

The candidate must be able to identify data errors.

Candidates will have the ability to summarize data, there is a need to be a good communicator able to build strong relationships with commissioners and other providers, associated team both internally and to external stakeholders.

The post will require the ability to concentrate and to balance diverse and conflicting priorities with cross organizational working.

To provide specialist advice and interpretation of systems and reporting in both local, regional and national systems.

The candidate will require a working knowledge of NHS data.

Experience of dealing with clinical read codes, SNOMED, PCN Dashboards is preferable.

Candidates will be required to present data creatively using a number of software tools, this will require developed skills in programmes such as excel, SQL, and Power BI. It will also require an understanding of structuring data and using databases.

Support Nottingham East PCN with audits and reports.

Attend meetings, forums, working groups to represent the service, on behalf of the team as appropriate

Ensure that strong links are maintained with key stakeholders and relevant patient cohorts.
