Job summary

We are seeking to recruit Primary Care Network (PCN) Managers to work within the Bulwell and Top Valley Primary Care Networks in Nottingham City. This would suit candidates with strong healthcare management background and we would consider applications from candidates seeking either a full-time or part-time position. The PCN Manager role supports the delivery of the Primary Care Network agenda.

The PCN Manager will form an integral part of the PCN leadership team working alongside the Clinical Director(s) and the PCN board members.

You will be based across several sites within the your Primary Care Network locality and so ability to travel across sites is required. 

Main duties of the job

The PCN Manager will act as point of expertise, coordinate the successful achievement of all governance requirements, translate national and local policy into meaningful changes, and will support practices to achieve improved outcomes for the local population. They will also liaise with the PCN Managers of other PCNs.

About us

Nottingham City General Practice Alliance (NCGPA) was formed in 2016. We are Nottingham citys first GP Federation, often referred to as NCGPA or the Alliance. Our members consist of 45 NHS GP practices in Nottingham city, who cover a population of over 336,000 patients. We are the lead employer for our PCN based roles such as Clinical Pharmacists, Social Prescribing Link Workers and Health and Wellbeing Coaches.

Job responsibilities

To play a pivotal role in the delivery of high-quality primary health care within Nottingham City Primary Care Networks

Support the PCN Clinical Director(s) and board to ensure the smooth running of the Networks

To be involved in the management and development of the Networks

To be responsible for the production of performance and quality reports within the Network and other Network initiatives

To be responsible for the oversight of the Network financial systems/payments to all the practices within the Network, working alongside NCGPA and their financial infrastructure

Ensure the PCN is compliant with the GDPR and FOI along with other relevant legislation and professional information management standards such as GMC/BMA and LMC guidance

To represent the Primary Care Networks in cross organisation meetings when agreed e.g. locality/CCG meetings/ other Nottinghamshire wide meetings
