Job summary
We are looking to expand our Senior Carer Team at Haven Court
and are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals with care experience
to join our team. You will hold an NVQ level 3 or above in
Health & Social Care with experience working with older people, those with
dementia and/or those who are nearing end of life.
We
are an 80-bedded, purpose built facility providing a comprehensive range of
services. This includes long term residential and nursing care services,
reablement and respite services, the Cedar Unit for end of life and day
services for older people. We aim to provide the highest
quality of health and social care services to residents who live across South
Tyneside. We are conveniently located on Harton Lane, South Shields.

Main duties of the job
You will have practical experience of implementing person
centred care and have effective communication and problem solving skills. You
will be able to work calmly under pressure and have a strong commitment to
respecting the rights of the services users at all times. Experience in a
senior carer post is desirable however the successive candidates will receive
appropriate training.
You
will be flexible to meet the needs of the service and be able to meet the
requirements of the shift pattern which includes a combination of long days,
earlies, lates and rotation onto nightshift. The roster covers 7 days of the
week, 24 hours per day. Full time, part time and flexible working is available.
Any training and developmental learning needs will be encouraged and supported.
