Job summary

Our multi-award-winning organisation is seeking a Care and Support Worker to join our Retirement Living Service. This is a vital role supporting residents to live meaningful, independent lives and remain actively involved in their community. You will deliver high-quality care and support in line with individual needs, working as part of a rota that includes evenings and alternate weekends. This post is 37.5 hours per week on a 3-week rolling rota: Week 1: 7:00am3:00pm Week 2: 9:00am5:00pm Week 3: 12:00pm8:00pm There is a genuine occupational requirement under the Sex Discrimination Act 1974 for the post holder to be female.

Main duties of the job

You will: Assist residents with personal care, preparing meals and domestic tasks Implement and monitor care & support plans to meet the individual needs of a diverse group of Tenants Contribute to building community spirit within the resource through participating, encouraging, enabling and facilitating social events that meet the needs of diverse tenants Who are we looking for? The successful candidate will: NVQ level 2 in Health and social Care (Desirable, not essential) Previous Experience within a Care or Health setting. Excellent communication Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships Ability to work shifts (including weekends and evenings)
