Job summary

Aria Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Senior Care Assistant to support both residents and staff in their everyday lives at Frethey House, a 41-bed Residential & Nursing Home in Taunton, Somerset. The role involves taking a leadership role, encouraging development and growth within the team, and providing empathetic and respectful care to the residents.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to the residents of Frethey House. This includes assisting with daily living activities, monitoring residents' health and well-being, and collaborating with the wider care team to ensure the best possible outcomes for the residents. You will also be expected to take on a leadership role, mentoring and supporting junior members of the care team, and contributing to the overall growth and development of the home.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is a genuine passion for improving the lives of older adults. A relevant qualification, such as an NVQ or Diploma in Health and Social Care, is preferred.
