The Activities Co-Ordinator role at Kippingtons Nursing Home in Sevenoaks, Kent is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of the residents. As part of the Aria Healthcare team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating a range of engaging activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of the 55-bed residential, nursing, and dementia home. Main duties of the job
As an Activities Co-Ordinator, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive activities program that encompasses physical, cognitive, social, and therapeutic elements
- Engaging residents in various activities such as arts and crafts, music, games, and outings to stimulate their interests and enhance their overall wellbeing
- Collaborating with the wider care team to identify individual resident needs and preferences, and tailoring activities accordingly
- Ensuring all activities adhere to health and safety guidelines and maintain a safe and inclusive environment
- Documenting resident participation and progress, and providing regular feedback to the management team
- Fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere that promotes dignity, respect, and a sense of community among residents
