Job summary

The Sous Chef role at Aria Healthcare's Rectory House Nursing Home in Sompting, West Sussex is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and passionate chef to create fresh, nutritious meals for the residents. This is a permanent position offering a competitive hourly rate of £14.45 and a range of employee benefits.

Main duties of the job

As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to plan and prepare high-quality meals using the best fresh ingredients. You will have the opportunity to showcase your creative flair and lead by example, mentoring the team to progress in the Chef academy. The role consists of straight shifts with no evenings, and you will receive a fully supported induction to develop the technical skills required in the healthcare setting.

  • The ideal candidate will have substantial experience as a Sous Chef, with a proven track record of creating fresh, nutritious meals for residents or patients. Strong culinary skills, creativity, and the ability to work well in a team are essential. Previous experience in a healthcare setting would be an advantage.
