Job summary
The role of Sous Chef at Aria Healthcare's Dormy House in Sunningdale, Berkshire is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and passionate chef. The successful candidate will work alongside the Head Chef to create fresh, nutritious meals for the residents using the best ingredients. Main duties of the job
As the Sous Chef, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in all aspects of food preparation and service. This includes planning menus, ordering and managing supplies, leading a team of kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. You will need to be a creative and innovative chef with a strong understanding of the dietary requirements of older adults, including those with dementia or palliative care needs. The role involves straight shifts with no evenings, and you will have the opportunity to mentor and develop the skills of the kitchen team.
