Job summary

The role of Head Chef at Walstead Place, a 41-bedded Residential Care Home, offers the opportunity to create fresh, nutritious meals for the residents using the best ingredients available. Main duties of the job

As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading a team to prepare and serve delicious, balanced meals for the residents. This includes menu planning, ordering supplies, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. You will have the freedom to showcase your culinary talents and introduce new dishes that cater to the diverse dietary needs of the residents.   • Head Chef
  • 40 hours per week - Predominantly Mon - Friday - occasional weekends are required 
  • £16.00 per hour

We are looking for a passionate Chef that will lead by example and have the creative flair to showcase high level hospitality. The role consists of straight shifts & no evenings! There will be a fully supported induction showcasing the technical skills required in healthcare and an opportunity to mentor our teams to progress in our own Chef academy.

A formal culinary qualification, such as a Diploma in Culinary Arts or a Degree in Culinary Management, would be highly desirable.
